A Message from Principal Reed
Greetings Ramsey Families,
Happy New Year! We are very excited to kick off the second half of our school year with our amazing Ramsey students and families centered around our 5 Core Paradigms:
- Everyone can be a leader.
- Everyone has genius.
- Change starts with me.
- Empower students to lead their own learning.
- Educators and families partner to develop the whole person.
We value our family partnerships and look forward to seeing all of our families at our upcoming student led spring conferences on February 16th, 21st and 23rd. Additional information will be shared regarding how to sign up for your conference(s). This is a great opportunity to team with your student’s teachers to support their academic and social/emotional goals.
Volunteering is a wonderful way to stay involved at Ramsey. Please visit our Ramsey volunteer page or reach out to Mary Woestehoff, our volunteer services coordinator anytime at 763-506-4073 to learn more about our volunteer opportunities.
We appreciate your continued support this school year and would like to thank all of our parents and guardians for all that you do to support your student each day. Please reach out to me anytime at 763-506-4000 as it is the goal of our entire Ramsey staff to ensure the best possible education for your student.
Sincerely,
Dr. Amy Reed

Winter Weather Reminders!
Winter weather reminders
Minnesota weather is shifting gears, and the Anoka-Hennepin School District has plans in place for when extreme winter weather arrives.
The safety of all students is the first priority when determining if schools should stay open in adverse weather. If a determination is made to close school due to extreme winter weather, the district will alert families in a variety of ways, including:
Phone, text or email message from AHlert system (for Anoka-Hennepin parents/guardians only).
District and school websites.
District and school social media pages (e.g. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter).
Media outlets including WCCO, KSTP, FOX 9, KARE 11, CCX Media, WCCO radio and Star Tribune newspaper.
Those responsible for activities scheduled in schools over the weekend will determine if adverse weather conditions necessitate a cancellation.
Read more about the district’s policies on extreme winter weather at ahschools.us/weather.
Report Student Absences Online
Parents/guardians can share online when their student is going to be absent or arriving late through the My Student Information app via A-HConnect or in the ParentVUE mobile application. You can still call the school at 763-506-4006 and leave a message, this is simply a convenient alternative.
Report student absences daily prior to 10:30am to avoid receiving an unverified email or phone call.
