Nurse Kim's Corner
As we think about the things we are thankful for this next week, one of the things might be that we have come this far through a devastating global health crisis. There is a light at the end of the tunnel with some very promising vaccines coming our way and with new treatments for covid that have improved outcomes for those who become severely ill. For these things I am very thankful.
Now we are entering the season of family gatherings. As far as we have come, we are not "there" yet. Please think about how you can value the lives of those that you love and stay safe for just a few weeks/months more. The experts are asking that we keep our indoor gatherings to no more than 6 persons and no more than 2 households.
When we have time off and the weather turns cold, it's nice to travel, maybe someplace warm, or just someplace else. It is recommended that we all stay home.
No matter what your plans may be, I encourage you to keep doing all of those safety practices that have become part of our lives this year and remember with gratitude how hard so many people are working to keep all of us safe. Let's do our part too. I'm thankful for you!
