Mitochondria
Samuel Rupe& Monika Wesley
What does it do ?
The mitochondria (mighty mitochondria) is the power house of the cell, makes most energy for the cell, the mitochondria has two membranes :inner and outer and it has a different DNA than the rest of the cells.
what else do we know?
Mitochondria are the site of most of the stages of aerobic Respiration . They are too small to be visible with the light Microscope .andThe inner membrane is highly folded to form structures called cristae.
what else does it do
· Mitochondria also metabolize amino acids, fatty acids, and steroids· Mitochondria create more than 90% of the energy needed by the body to support growth. Mitochondria dysfunction leads to less energy generation by the cell and may cause serious injury or death.
