WINTER MIDWEST DISTRICT REVIEW
Midwest District of MISSIONARY CHURCHES
2022 Events
Men's Conference-We Would See Jesus
Men sought audience with Jesus, but they were outsiders—Greeks, not known as seekers of Israel’s God. But they pressed for a meeting with the Messiah. Their one request? “We would see Jesus” (John 12:21). One can only speculate at the conversation and the outcome, but their appeal rings out as every man’s need—to see Jesus, to encounter the divine, and to be wonderfully consumed with all that He is.
We have focused this year’s Men’s Conference on grasping a greater vision of the wonder of Jesus—to gaze with unveiled eyes upon the glory, splendor, and majesty of the Son of God. May God help us to peel back the layers that cloud our view, so as to renew our zeal for living flat-out full-throttle for Jesus!

Family Camp-The Journey to Spiritual Wholeness
This year's guest speaker is Stan Key. He speaks frequently in churches, conferences, retreats, and camps both here in the U.S. and abroad.
After serving churches in Virginia, Kentucky, and Illinois, Stan and his family served for ten years as church-planting missionaries in the suburbs of Paris, France with One Mission Society and then served as senior pastor of Loudonville Community Church in Albany, NY. Stan joined the staff of the Francis Asbury Society in 2013.
Stan came into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ while he was a student at Asbury College. It was there he met Katy, to whom he has been married since 1977. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
Here-to-There Update from Will and Tara McCord
In the last few months, over one thousand new refugee families -- displaced in the U.S. extraction of Afghanistan -- have moved to Houston. This is a unique opportunity for the Church in the USA to engage people groups who may have never had the opportunity to hear the Gospel. In fact, a few of the different tribes represented have no known believers. Our family and our teams in Houston have partnered with other churches and ministries to coordinate a Gospel response to this overwhelming influx. Our family has "adopted" two Afghani brothers, Fareed (Left) and Farhad (Right), along with their families. We have been blessed to share a few meals and many cups of tea with them, along with the message and love of Jesus.
Breakthroughs from the Lord
Consistent investment and the power of the Holy Spirit have led to two major breakthroughs in ministry. First, one of the families from Bangladesh who have been extremely closed to the Gospel have opened up in the recent weeks. The mother, Jeasmine -- who once was throwing missionaries out of her home -- and the daughter, Sumaya (pictured with the Christmas lights), have been especially open. Please pray for their family, as they are desperately in need of the Lord's love and mercy in Christ Jesus. Second, our friend from Mali, MD, has been diligently seeking the Lord regarding the truth of who Jesus is. He has said to us in recent weeks, "I can see that the Bible is clear that Jesus is not only the Son of God, but God Himself!", and also "I understand how Satan might use the Quran to deceive people away from the Truth." Please pray for MD as he counts the cost of following Christ.
