A Principal's Perspective
Wow! What a week! Thank you for your participation, sharing of ideas, learning, and engagement in all of the professional development opportunities this week. Thank you to our teachers that helped to lead our learning this week - Amanda Simmons, Michelle Prukop, Jana Wilson, Stephanie Anderson, and Julie Cooper. Also a big thank you to our specialists for their continued support of our students and staff!
It was a special opportunity to honor a dedicated teacher this week. I appreciate our staff taking time to celebrate Susan's service to students while surrounded by heartbreaking news. As I said at the reception, our school family is very important. But during the most difficult times, one can depend on family to surround them with support and love. Susan will need her school family to do just that.
I will be absent tomorrow. Tomorrow is my annual day that I take off to volunteer and then shop at the Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market. A former principal of mine always told me in August the November date that she would be absent. I learned many things from her which includes taking a day for myself to enjoy right before the holidays. I hope you have a great weekend!
