Week of April 20--- Week 3 of Distance Learning Plan

Big picture
Man, this 2019-2020 school is not ending the way we planned. There are many things to be sad about BUT we are going to CHOOSE TO LOOK FOR JOY in this crummy situation. A few of the BRIGHT SPOTS:

-Parents and students you have done a PHENOMENAL job adjusting to the distance learning. Our teachers LOVE seeing their student's faces, pets, projects and many more "treasures" during their classroom meetings.

-Everyone has been incredibly GRACIOUS as we, the school, figure out how to best meet our students needs. Ie. handing out lunches, getting the Distance Learning Plan distributed, finding ways to communicate. THANK YOU!!

-Our Teacher Parade was a HUGE SUCCESS! Thank you to all the students and parents who tried to stay warm as we drove around. Again, we absolutely love seeing you guys!

A Note from the Counselors

Hello, Meadow Brook!

I hope you have been establishing a routine for our new normal during this time. I wanted to reach out and give you all a list of local resources that one of our Mustang counselors created to share with families. I have attached the list below.

We are including a parent referral form if you need assistance you cannot find on the resource list or need any other assistance from the counselors.

Secondly, I am sharing the code to our school counselor guidance Google Classroom. The classroom has fun activities and videos put together for you by all the intermediate counselors. The Google Classroom code is: onrpth3.

Please don't hesitate to contact if you need anything during this time.

Mindset Matters Time

Across the district we are introducing the 7 Mindsets. The 7 Mindsets approach is based on the premise that success depends less on what a person knows, and much more significantly on how he or she thinks. These mindsets provide the foundation for resilience, motivation, and meaning in life. By making small shifts in the way someone views the world and his or her future in it, we help create a positive and sustainable transformation.
