End of the Year Medication Pickup
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Medications cannot be sent home with students at the end of the school year.
- Parents must pick up all medications on or before the last day of school. Medications must be picked up by the end of the school day(12:00).
- REMINDER: the last day of school is a half day. If medications need to be picked up before the last day of school, make arrangements with the school nurse or health tech.
- Emergency or as-needed medications (Epi-pens, Tylenol, Inhalers, etc.) must also be picked up.
- The school nurse will follow state health department procedures and deliver all medications not picked up to the DEA to dispose of properly.
- If medications will be brought back to the school in the fall, you may obtain a medical permission form from the health tech in your school, or on the PSD website.
If you have any questions please contact your school nurse (Lynne Ryan 970-556-5908 eryan@psdschools.org) or health tech (Jenny Whetsell 970-488-5550).

NEWS FROM PSD
Support Students Experiencing Homelessness
The number of PSD families and youth experiencing homelessness has risen by 10% since last year, and their needs have risen exponentially. Currently, one out of every 27 students is experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity in our district. Students experiencing homelessness encounter many barriers to their education. Our department works to help youth and families overcome these barriers, including transportation, access to extracurricular activities, before and after-school care, and meeting basic needs. We do this along with case-management to help them reach independence.
Your generous donation allows the Language, Culture and Equity Department to support these students and families with personal items, temporary shelter, provisions, clothing, etc.
The need has never been greater.
Please help us reach our goal of raising $40,000 to support PSD students and families facing housing insecurity and homelessness.
*All donations are tax deductible, and an automated email will provide you with your tax receipt.

PSD Now Newsletter
One of many ways information is shared is through the PSD Now community newsletter, which features timely information about the latest happenings in the district. This is emailed to families and interested community members about every other Thursday.
