Hello Families! We are
one day away from a well-deserved Spring Break! We hope you take the time to relax and spend time with your children during their days off.
Newsletter Release Update
In response to parent feedback, we will be reducing the amount of duplicate information being sent home via our three newsletters. Going forward, the Primary Paper and Lower Elementary Low-Down will alternate distribution weeks with our Prestonwood Montessori @ E.D. Walker school-wide newsletter to keep information relevant and concise.
The newsletter for March and April is as follows:

Health Reminder
We ask that you monitor your children's health and keep them home if they have any symptoms of COVID-19 (including but not limited to: coughing, sore throat, fever, body chills) and notify your child's guide. Please also schedule an appointment with the nurse for testing. If anyone in your family has tested positive for COVID-19, please contact your child's guide and keep your child home until the date recommended by your doctor, CDC guidelines, or district policy. For any illness, your child must be fever free for 24 hours without medicine in order to return to school. As always, please send a written excuse or email the excuse to Ms. De Santiago in the front office. Her email is medesantiago@dallasisd.org. Please cc your child's guide.

Today is our first Pups at Play. We are looking forward to sharing photographs when we return from Spring Break. As a reminder: normal dismissal procedures will begin at 4:15pm.
Pups at Play will take place on:
- March 10 - 3:15pm-4:15pm
- March 31 - 3:15pm-4:15pm
- April 14 - 3:15pm-4:15pm
- April 28 - 3:15pm-4:15pm

As we have seen an increase in COVID cases in our county, we want to be proactive in providing at home resources to provide continuous learning. If your child misses school due to COVID quarantine or exposure, they can complete the activities included in this resource. Click the link below to access.
