January 2024
Dear Park Avenue Families...
January 15, 2024
Dear Families,
This new year has come upon us in a flash!
December has slipped past, and as we enter 2024 we have lots to share about everything our students have been up to the first few weeks!
The next few weeks leading up to February break will be just as busy as students continue to work hard and make gains in reading, writing, and math, and have some fun together, too!
We have successfully had our first remote day! Our attendance was high, and students and staff did a great job working together!
Students have been working hard on Panther Goals and learning how to track their progress! We will have a family fun night with a juggler performance coming up on January 26th to talk about setting goals at home!
Students had a blast decorating doors leadng up to our holiday break - be sure to look at the pictures!
As we approach the mid-trimester mark of the 2nd trimester, students are beginning testing for NWEAs and ACCESS. It is a busy time in our classrooms with writing projects and math assessments as well.
Please continue to reach out to your child’s teacher to make connections and ask questions - we want to work with you to help our students continue to grow!
As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, or to make a connection. I always enjoy connecting with our Park Avenue families.

How We Keep Students Safe
Safety is our first priority. This is why we have high expectations for student behaviors. It is why we train to evacuate and we train for intruders. Every staff member has multiple ways to access administration and are capable of making emergency calls as needed.
All the doors are locked all the time, external and internal
There are hard wired phones in each room
Cameras that are observed
Secure front entrance
Badged staff
Practice safety measured
We do not have unannounced visitors
Staff have multiple communication devices to contact others for immediate assistance
Jason Tardy Juggling - Park Avenue PTO Free Event!
Join us for a FREE and FUN family event sponsored by the Park Avenue PTO!
Come enjoy a performance by the popular juggler, Jason Tardy!
He will include in his presentation messages about goal setting, which ties in with the work our students continue to focus on in their learning and personal growth!
We look forward to seeing our families and students at this fun event!
