What is Metabolism?
A New Stated Clearly Animation, Designed to Apply to NGSS
Stated Clearly Pivots to Classrooms
Since you met us at NSTA, you're likely aware that Stated Clearly produces animations that practically augment science instruction. Did you know that these animations were not originally designed with classrooms in mind? That is starting to change. While Stated Clearly will always design animations for the broader public, careful attention is now being paid to align them to science education standards. What is Metabolism? is the first such animation.

We want to hear from you
The NSF/NASA Center for Chemical Evolution is currently developing a comprehensive standard matrix connecting all Stated Clearly animations to national and state science standards. This will be completed by the end of summer. To learn more, please write to us or fill out the forms above.
If you're already using these animations in your classroom, we would love to know how. Please complete the form linked below. Your responses will help us develop better animations.
Stated Clearly
Stated Clearly produces free animations to make science accessible to everyone. While always expanding, the primary foci of the portfolio are genetics and evolution.
Jon Perry
Jon Perry is the animator and founder of Stated Clearly.

Christopher Parsons is the Director of Education, Outreach, and Diversity for the NSF/NASACenter for Chemical Evolution. Contact him to learn more about ongoing efforts to link Stated Clearly to formal science education.
Stated Clearly is supported by the NSF/NASA Center for Chemical Evolution
The NSF/NASA Center for Chemical Evolution is a $40M research organization dedicated to understanding how life may emerge from chemistry. In addition to these research efforts, it supports innovative initiatives in informal science communication, education, and broadening participation.
