WWMS Weekly
Mrs. Blevins' Important Updates and Information
HYBRID INSTRUCTION BEGINS 10/19/20
As we approach another "pivot" to Hybrid Instruction the WWMS staff will again be delving into a new experience that may provide them with some additional hiccups in instruction. Please approach the upcoming weeks with grace and patience - we can all use more in the days and weeks ahead. And, if you or your child encounter challenges, please contact your child's teacher, guidance counselor, or my office to collaborate and problem solve. Together as the Woodrow Wilson community we will figure this out for our children.
Be well,
Mrs. Blevins
WWMS PARENT UPDATES
HYBRID INSTRUCTION: The Hybrid Model of instruction will include both in-person and remote/virtual instruction. Remote/virtual students will receive the same live instruction in real-time as the in-person students are receiving. WWMS has approximately 18% of our students returning, therefore all WWMS in person students are able to attend classes from the building Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. ALL STUDENTS will learn remotely on Wednesday to allow for deep cleaning of the building.
Our first presenter will be Ms. Siobhan McDermott, Mental Health Clinician, Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care - The PATH - Edison School Based Program. She will be speaking about the rise of stress and anxiety in teens and providing resources for parents and families. Please RSVP for the PTA Coffee Chat using this link.
GOVERNOR'S EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR NOMINATION FORM: Please nominate a WWMS Teacher or Educational Professional of the Year. All forms are due to Mrs. Blevins by 10/23/20. You can access the form here.
