So Much Gratitude

Since we won't have a Blue Notes next week due to Thanksgiving, I express my thanks to our parents for choosing Catholic schools, our teachers and staff for their hard work day in/out, and our students for sharing their energy and heart. I celebrate our 8th graders, preparing for their High School Placement test, applying for scholarships, and Making Every Minute Matter. We are especially proud of Sire Holloway for being the first Daniel Murphy Scholarship Recipient (chosen out of 800 citywide applicants) at SJDLS in 10 years! Thank you all for making our school a great place to learn and grow in faith. --Mrs. Santellano

Staff Bio: Mrs. Mary Pat Bertrand

Mrs. Bertrand has taught at SJLDS since 2016 (5 years). She has taught in the Archdiocese of Chicago for 35 years! Her favorite part about working at St. John is how well everyone works together, gets along, and helps each other. In her spare time, Mrs. Bertrand likes to travel to different National Parks, read books, and visit her two daughters and grandson, Axel. She can't wait until it safe (again) to do so!
