Principal's message - week 33
Greetings North Plains Hawks! I hope you are enjoying our one day of sun!!
What an incredible week! Tuesday night we had 42 kinder families come to our kinder fair, WOW!! Thank you Ryan Kind for representing PTO and to Joni Clayton, Suzanne Ulrey, and Annette Monahan for being there for the event! Then last night the Spring Showcase took place and it was amazing! All the groups did a fabulous job,and the historical society had a fun and interesting exhibit for everyone to explore. A special thank you to Joyce Reynolds who has made the commitment to work with our school and make sure our students are exposed to the rich history of North Plains and the surrounding area.
Micah Elmers and Sophia Evans entered a competition sponsored by the Historical Society. Micah wrote a speech and Sophia made an Adobe Spark presentation on the history of Oregon. Both students were awarded a 20.00 prize for their efforts. I will upload their work next week in this newsletter so you can see their work!
Reminder to our amazing volunteers! Come to our volunteer appreciation breakfast next Tuesday, April 25, at 7:30 AM. Please come and allow us to say thank you for all you do for our staff and kids!
Do you have an old combination lock that you would be willing to donate? I am hoping to collect a class set so I can work with 6th graders on this skill before next fall. If you have one or are willing to buy one and donate it, I would greatly appreciate it!
That's all for now, I'm ready for the weekend!
