Blending the Traditional Book Study with Technology for Learning
It’s customized - pick and choose whatever you want to do and learn. Choose either book study, or both, or just the tech connect parts, some or all. The face-to-face dates are June 26 for the book study launch, June 27 for the gamification sessions (the online course extends then into August), and June 29 for Scrum in the Classroom. Everything else is online after the launch.

Are You Game Option 1 - Quest It: Online course in 3D Game Lab on gamification, self-paced learning June 26-Aug. 21
Are You Game Option 2 - Build It: June 27, 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Are You Game? is about gamifying your classroom. The face-to-face AM is an intro/overview. Option 1 - "Quest It" allows participants to continue learning about gamification on their own in an online course in 3D Game Lab by completing quests to achieve higher levels and badges and earn SCECHs as well. The “Build It” option 2 is for those who want to come back in the afternoon June 27 to do some curriculum planning, think about how they might get started with gamification either with 3D Game Lab or using other environments.

Scaffolding teamwork for student-centered projects
"Scrum" is a team leadership framework popular in software development that is finding its way into the collaborative classroom. Using the scrum framework, students are encouraged to organize themselves and use the scrum process to foster creativity and critical thinking, building a spirit of collaboration as team members teach each other. For those implementing project-based learning, this could be a missing piece to developing student agency.
