Spotlight on EdTech: Stephanie Terry, Prairie Branch Elementary
Stephanie Terry teaches second grade at Prairie Branch Elementary and after attending tech PD, she decided to give Flipgrid a try in her classroom.
"I am a Flipgrid newbie, but this first experience was GREAT! During our economics unit, we were talking about the different ways that a company can advertise their product. We got to take it a step further and tryout our own commercials to advertise to their grade-level peers. Flipgrid provided an authentic application to the content we were teaching. Having a simple design that was user-friendly allowed them to express their creativity in an efficient way. They didn't get stuck every few steps and were able to easily complete the steps."
"Of course the students loved seeing themselves in a 'commercial.' The activity was very engaging! I will definitely be keeping this activity in future economics lessons!"
