Principal's Message
As a reminder, all students and staff will be fully remote through January 15th. School will reopen for hybrid in-person learning on Tuesday, January 19th.
I want to take a moment to recognize our students for the resilience and flexibility they have shown this school year. We are immensely proud of their progress and hard work. As we transition back to fully remote learning, please be sure to communicate with your child's teacher about how they are doing. We are here to support our students however they need. I recommend the following for setting students up for success in a fully remote learning environment:
Limit distractions in the learning environment by:
Utilizing over the ear headphones if your child is learning in a shared space
Finding a quiet, consistent space for learning
Keeping toys, pets and snacks for break times so children can attend to their lessons
Keep a picture schedule for your child
Keeping a schedule can help a child see their day and anticipate what is ahead. Picture schedules are particularly helpful for students who struggle with anxiety.
Set goals together (academic or behavioral) and celebrate when students reach them
Communicate and keep in touch
If your child is struggling please let us know. This is a challenging time for everyone but we are in this together.

December's Staff Shout Out:
"Mrs. Rudek is going above and beyond to teach 5 year olds kindergarten virtually and it is my daughters first ever "school" experience and I am soooooo grateful for her kindness and patience with all of the kids. I know these are uncertain times but I don't think that teachers are getting enough credit for the work they're putting in, and I want to just make sure that Mrs. Rudek's boss knows how caring of a teacher she is and just is making this the best for the littles even though we know its a crazy time. Thank you Mrs. Rudek for honestly caring and just all of the things you're doing for our kids, the communication she gives is 100%, and just everything."
Principal's Reading Recommendation
"The Mitten" by Jan Brett is a classic cozy winter story that I love to revisit every year as the weather starts to get cold.
