Cooper Landing School Updates

Christmas Performance/Potluck

Cooper Landing School students are excited to help welcome in the holiday season. There will be a Christmas Performance/Potluck this Thursday, December 8th at 5:30pm. A little music, a movie premiere starring Cooper Landing School students, and a potluck, followed by a visit from a special person from the North Pole. If possible, please bring a dish to share.


Cooper Landing School Fundraises for Ski Lessons at Alyeska

Students and families will begin selling raffle tickets this week, with a goal of selling 125 tickets. Some exciting prizes have been donated, and the prize list continues to grow!

The drawing will take place at school on Friday, January 13. Tickets can be purchased at school on the night of the Christmas Performance, or in the days following, Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm. The school will be closed December 19 - January 3. You can also contact any Cooper Landing School student/family. Thank you so much for your support!

Dates to Remember

Friday, December 9 - Early release. Students dismissed at 1:45.

December 19 - January 3 - Winter Break. Students return Wednesday, January 4.


Skiing

Dates are set for February 7, 14, 21, 28, and March 7 and 21.


Volunteers

On occasion, we may need help transporting students other than your own on field trips, as we do not have a bus. If you are willing to help out, a background check is required. Please go to https://kpbsd.org/departments/assistant-superintendent/instructional-services/hr/volunteer/ to complete the form. Thank you in advance!

Hello Students and Parents,


If you are taking your student out of school for traveling, Please do not forget the required paperwork. We will be happy to assist you, should you need help.


MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL PARENTS:

Recently we had a visit from Annaleah Karron. She is an amazingly helpful person with so much knowledge about education and programs such as CTE and Middle College. Middle and High School students can benefit so very much with these programs. We have links for you available here. We strongly encourage you to view the videos for the benefit of your students.

Hope’s PTO/Site Council meetings will be on the first Tuesday of each month from 3:45 – 4:30. Come join us!


PTO Swag

Swag orders are estimated to be deliver prior to Christmas. We hope the shipping works out as planned. Mrs. Jeannine Jabaay would be the PTO person who will most likely be able to give us any updates on changes to the delivery date.


Your Volunteer Status is key this year
