Friendly Reminders
Parents & Guardians,
Happy October! I hope families were able to get out this past weekend and enjoy the fall weather. As mornings become cooler and afternoon temperatures climb above 80 degrees, we have a lot of students taking off jackets and sweatshirts at recess. This causes our lost and found to grow considerably. You can help by labeling your child's clothing items, so they can be returned to their rightful owner. This would be greatly appreciated.
Please join us this Wednesday for Walk & Roll to school day. We will meet at 8:15am (at the field) off Burr Oaks Drive in the Twin Oaks Neighborhood. We will take a group picture and beginning walking to school as a group. We welcome family members to join in the fun. Looking for more details? Check out the flyer below!
This Thursday evening week will be our first Parent Teacher Conferences from 4:30pm - 8:00pm. If you have not set up a time to meet to discuss your child's progress, please email your child's teacher as soon as possible. We value this time to collaborate with parents to discuss each child's strengths and areas of growth.
Please mark your calendars! There will be no school on October 13th, 14th, & 17th for Fall Break and Staff Development Day.
This is a friendly reminder - our afterschool program, Wolf Pack, uses the playground until 5:30. The playground area is closed to the public and families daily from 8:00 am - 5:30 pm.
As always, thank you for supporting Washington Irving! We couldn't do it without our amazing families. One Pack One Purpose! Go Wolves!
Wishing you well,
