Principal Points
Dear Families,
The end is in view as we continue our distance learning. Teachers are working to creatively keep students engaged and helping them celebrate the learning they’ve been doing all year.
We are starting to develop plans about how we will finish this year in regards to distributing items that might remain in the school building, celebrating our 5th graders as they finish their Valentine Hills experience, and creating some closure for your child as the year comes to an end. We will have more information available in the next couple weeks.
I know that many of you have questions about plans for when school resumes in the fall. While I don’t have any answers of what the fall will look like yet, be assured that we are working closely with state and district leaders to come up with responsive plans to keep students connected and learning, no matter what. As I know more, I will communicate with you.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership as we navigate the unknown together.
Sincerely,
Lindsey Samec
Orchestra News for 3rd Grade
We know third graders have been anxiously waiting to sign up for orchestra, and now is the time! Orchestra is a fun, exciting and vibrant community. Since we can’t meet in person, this video will show you just a few of the experiences Mounds View Orchestra students have. At the end of the video, you'll see all of the instruments, so you can decide which one is right for you!
This short survey will make sure we get all the information you need in order to join orchestra. Your student’s future orchestra teacher will follow up with more details. We are looking forward to being back together again and having an amazing fourth grade orchestra. We hope you’ll join us!
