School Experience Survey
Dear Students,
Your opinion about your school experiences in the Essex Westford School District matter. Your voice is important and in order for us to consider how to make the vision for the EWSD a reality, we need your help.
The information collected from this survey will be used to better understand your thoughts about your school. The information will help us focus our time and effort as a community to create strong and healthy school experiences for all students.
Please know that we are not collecting identifiable information on anyone submitting a response to this survey. Your honest and thoughtful answers are appreciated. Your teachers, school leaders, district leaders, and school board want to hear from you.
Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences below by selecting the answers that match for you. The survey is 65 questions long and we are hopeful that it will not take you more than 30 minutes to complete.
With appreciation,
Beth Cobb
EWSD Superintendent

Camp Kesem at UVM
Camp Kesem at University of Vermont is a unique free resource we offer to children impacted by a parent’s cancer. Camp Kesem UVM will offer its fifth annual camp in summer 2021, open to campers throughout the area. Our camp is offered free of charge, and is open to any 6-18 year old who has, or has had, a parent or primary caregiver with cancer. We also offer other free programs throughout the year, including our upcoming Friends + Family Day which is open to current families, new families and community supporters. We will have programming for both the children and the adults, and it is a great way to connect with other families impacted by cancer.
We are one of over 100 active Camp Kesem chapters throughout the United States, and our program is staffed by student volunteers from the University of Vermont along with nurses, mental health professionals, and a representative from the national organization. We strive to deliver a transformative and inclusive experience to all families, and to that end we provide support with things like transportation, supplies for camp, and translation/interpreters. For more information, go to www.campkesem.org/vermont
AP Exam Payment Deadline
This is a reminder that if your student wants to take an AP exam this coming May, they must hand in the completed payment form (found online here or in the counseling lobby) and payment (checks made out to EHS AP exams) before January 31st. If they fail to do so, they will incur late fees, which are non refundable according to the collegeboard. If you pay for an AP exam before Jan 31st and decide not to take it at a later date, there will be a full refund. No late fees are refundable.
All payments and payment forms are to be mailed in to EHS or handed into Ms. Kennison in the school counseling office, before that deadline. If you qualify for free and reduced lunch, please mark the appropriate box on the payment form.
