Corroboree Frog

Desciption
The Southern Corroboree Frog has black and yellow stripes on its back. The adults grow up to 2.5 - 3cm. Their call is a short "squelch".
Habitat and Ecology
The Southern Corroboree Frog eats black ants. It lives in pools and ponds. Females lay up to 20 - 30 eggs.
Threats
The threats to the Southern Corroboree Frog are feral pigs and horses, a disease called chytrid fungus and UV -B radiation.

The Southern Corroboree Frog has 22 priority actions to help recover it in New South Wales.
What needs to be done to recover this species?
*Under take off-site rearing of tadpoles and frogs to increase their survival and provide stock for reintroduction to the wild.
*Protect breeding sites from damage by pigs and horses.
