Please join us for Launch Night and Open House on Wednesday, September 19th. This is a one time event - don't miss it!!! Starting at 6pm, Lathrop will have a variety of activities for your family. To participate in a scavenger hunt for prizes, you will be invited to join the LHS Quest on the GooseChase App. You can download this APP onto your smart phone. GooseChase will give you a schedule of all activities happening. You will earn points for completing tasks and visiting various classrooms and stations.
Here is just a sampling of what you will see:
Classroom Presentations Include:
*SMART Goals and Student Reflection - how is this being used in the classroom?
*Personalized Learning in the classroom - stations, self practice, and checks for understanding.
*What does Personalized learning look like in the art classroom?
*LHS Engineering - How our stacked engineering program allows for varied learning opportunities for students.
*Picking the right math class to meet your educational needs and how to be successful.
and so much more.... (there will be over 30 presentations/activities to choose from).
In addition, a variety of school activities and supports will have tables in the gym to share details about how students can get involved. Some groups will be selling snacks - rootbeer floats, pizza, cookies, and more! Stop by to learn about what Lathrop has to offer.
From 7:15pm-8:00pm Lathrop will run a mini schedule - periods 1-6. Parents can take a walk through their student's day. Teachers will have brief presentations - 5 minutes spent in each class with 3 minutes between.
This will be a fun, informative, interactive evening. See you there!
