GT Family Series

Built to Perfection turned out to be tons of building fun for our families! Please visit the Family Series You Tube Channel to see the amazing projects our students shared - to perfection!

Hodges Bend Highlight!

We would like to recognize Ms. Sara Dawson at Hodges Bend Middle School for working diligently with her GT students to complete the October Family Series Challenge. Students in her GT advisory worked as a family to create a replica of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Her dedication to our gifted students allowed them the opportunity to participate in this awesome experience! Thank you, Ms. Dawson! View the full video here!

Parent Resources

Please bookmark our GT Handbook for Parents and Students, as well as our Parent Resources page! The Handbook provides information on the FBISD Gifted and Talented Program operating procedures, including assessments, program maintenance, and programming options. The Parent Resources Page provides links to national, state, and local associations, as well as practical tips for parenting gifted children.

GT Mentorship Program - Class of 2023 (current juniors)

The GT Mentorship Program exists to give highly motivated seniors identified for gifted and talented services an opportunity to experience a career alongside a professional mentor during the spring semester of senior year. The application process begins in the spring semester of junior year, and the dates for 2022 have been posted.

Information meetings will be scheduled for the month of January and will take place on each high school campus during the school day. Separate parent information meetings will also be scheduled, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening. Please look for detailed scheduling information in the December newsletter.
