October Count and Proof of Residency
The Student October Count is based on a one (1) day membership count in which districts are asked to report all students who are actively enrolled and attending classes through their district on that date. Student funding is based off of this number.
Each year the State of Colorado Department of Education requires online schools to verify that their students and families reside in the State of Colorado. Below is a list of acceptable documents that we can utilize as your verification of Colorado Residency.
Your address documentation needs to be returned to JRLP no later than September 29th.
· Property tax payment receipts
· Residential Lease Agreement
· Utility service payment receipts
· Completed FEDS Form or Free/Reduced Meal Application
· Inclusion on the SNAP/TANF Direct Certification List
· Completed, signed, and reviewed “Affidavit of Colorado Residency” - Click here for the residency form and instructions
You can scan and email your documents to Karen Parker karen.parker@jeffco.k12.co.us or Denise Loya denise.loya@jeffco.k12.co.us
You can mail or drop off your documents to JRLP 1505 S. Pierson Street, Lakewood, CO 80232.

Hello from your Digital Teacher Librarian (DTL)
Device Care
It is that time of year where germs start to be more of an issue, plus it’s been about a month since we started using our devices every day. They are getting pretty gunky. Please use the following video to learn about ways to safely clean your device.
How to clean and disinfect your Chromebook
Just a reminder: Please do not stick anything under or around your keys to clean them. Blown air works best! Placing items, even paper, between them can cause the keys to pop off and need to be replaced.
During the month of September, the digital citizen and wellness focus of our TechforEd students is learning related to creating and maintaining one’s Digital Footprint & Identity. Our digital footprint, or “online presence,” has long-lasting implications, and it is important for learners of all ages to realize that digital footprints are often public and potentially accessible by anyone. This month, you can support your child(ren) to learn how they can contribute to a positive digital reputation, both for themselves and for others, by using these resources:
Monthly Motto: We define who we are.
Discussion Question for School and Home: How can I cultivate my digital identity in ways that are responsible and empowering?
Digital Footprint & Identify Family Activities:
Family Tips Sheet
JRLP families - We are moving as a district into a new resources for math. We know this comes with a learning curve. Attached please find a link to a family support document. It is organized by grade level with a specific link for each unit of study. This is a place to go when supporting your student with homework. It gives an overview of the mathematical thinking involved with the unit.
