Clinton Elementary School

The Bear Facts!

January 15, 2021

Dear Clinton Families,

We are excited to welcome back our K - 2 Hybrid Groups next week as the District moves to Phase 3 of Reopening. I am including in this newsletter the Parent Guidebook, as well as a video that shows several of the CDC recommended protocols we have put in place for the safety of students and staff.

Beginning on Tuesday, January 19th, we will move to our Four Hour Day schedule for all grades. The Clinton School Day begins at 8:05 (Please allow flexibility on Tuesday as the teachers need to get the Hybrid students settled and logged in). If your child is in Cohort V (all virtual), they will also follow the Four Hour Day schedule. As a school, we need all students on the same schedule, as we have 3-5 students in Cohort C who are returning in person on the 19th and 25th. Please reach out to your child's teacher for the specific classroom schedule, including small group instruction in the afternoon.

Please stay well.

Until we are together in person again, we remain #Clintonstrong2020!

Fondly, Jennifer Connors, Principal & Zoila Correa, Assistant Principal

Big picture

New Digital Books in MackinVIA

We just received a new order of 98 digital books in MackinVIA and I wanted to highlight some of them as they will support our readers. We now have Dragon Masters, I Survived e-books in addition to audiobooks, Amulet and Raina Telmegeier graphic novels, One and Only Ivan, Nate the Great, Geronimo Stilton and more. I also continued to diversify our collection with exciting new titles that tackle social issues. Remember that you can access them through Canvas, from or the MackinVIA app.
