Capitol Hill Community News
September 2022
Principal's Message
Capitol Hill Community,
Tomorrow will mark the start of fall 2022! Happy Fall! Fall is my favorite season by far. I enjoy the cooler weather, beautiful colors, school routines kicking in, and family traditions. It is hard to believe we are already near the end of September already. Students are mastering school routines, completing initial assessments, making friends, and engaging in rigorous academics. I have enjoyed learning new names everyday and making parent connections before and after school.
Thank you for the opportunity to communicate important information via this Community Newsletter. As always, feel free to reach out if you would like to connect or have questions.
- Mike
PPS Celebrates Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month
"We begin celebrating Hispanic/Latino Heritage this month, which offers an opportunity to honor, recognize, and celebrate Latino contributions to our community, state, and country. Over the next month, you’ll see social media posts, and information on events occurring across the district, to educate and inform our community about this cultural celebration, and to highlight the unique history and contributions of Latinos in Portland and across our country. Please join me in this celebration!"
