HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 3 Week 3 Friday 5 August
FROM MARK
Hi Everyone,
Today’s festivities for the feast day of St Dominic were fabulous! Mass followed by Mini-Fete followed by Colour Run our first ever, thanks to our P & F has made for a memorable series of celebrations. Your support has meant so much, and made a real difference. Our Year Six Students did a sterling job of managing everything! They go from strength to strength and do themselves much credit leading our school.
Numero Club which runs before school got off to a cracking start last week, with the 40 positions taken up very quickly. Mr Peter Scutti has led this initiative, which will run in terms one and three. It did not take long for the 40 available positions to be snapped up! Thank you to Pete, and also to the teachers who have volunteered to be involved.
Our children in Years Three and Five completed the annual Bishops’ Religious Literacy Assessment and we congratulate them for trying their very best.
A really lovely week draws to a close. Have a fantastic weekend.
Mark

To assist us with planning for next year, please complete the form below if your child is not returning to Holy Rosary next year. Families are obliged to provide at least one term’s notice in writing of their intention to remove a child from the school, otherwise a full term’s fees may be charged. Please remember to indicate which school they will be attending next year.
Performing Arts News
Congratulations to our Holy Rosary choir for being part of the Performing Arts Festival this year, singing ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’ and ‘You Never Let Go’.
Our solo performers this year were Isobel Owen and Olivia Mak. What a great job, congratulations and well done.

LIBRARY
It’s already term 3 and as I have about 150 overdue loans per week, you may be receiving reminders about your child’s library books. Students who forget their library bag on borrowing day can visit the library Tues, Wed and Thurs from 8.30-8.45am or at lunchtime. If a book has been lost or damaged, we ask kindly that you let me know and replace the book. If you are ever uncertain as to what the book looks like, where to purchase it from or to double check it is not in the library by mistake, please feel free to send me an email. Parents replacing lost books means we don’t need to handle any money nor use valuable library resources. Thanks so much for your understanding and support of your school library.
