Recreating scenes from fictional pieces

Get imaginative creating your own Fictional Comic Strip!

The characters' actions in "Raymond's Run" and "A Retrieved Reformation" can be divided into "scenes" or sections. With a team member, you are going to recreate each section by reinventing the plot line. Use your imagination as you create your own unique plot twist. Ideas should be original and extraordinary.

Once you have accessed the site, select "Sign Up for FREE" located in the upper right red box of the screen.


Two boxes will appear on the scree; select the second box that says "FREE Version".


Write down your username and password! You will need this important information later on.


Now it is time to begin your new creation! Select the "Toons" tab located in the upper right hand corner of the screen. From here use the drop down menu and select "Create Toon".


Then choose which type of panel layout you would like. You at least in to choose a three panel layout!


Depending on the layout that you select, important icons will appear on the screen. These icons are the key components in staging your comic strip! These include: characters, backgrounds, props, texts, brushmen, special features, cliparts, and my gallery.


Below are important reminders and helpful hints that will make your comic strip project a success!


* When selecting your characters, make sure that each character "fits" the role you have given them. You can also change the emotions of each character to fit his or her mood at the particular time in the scene.


Note: You can select different emotions for each character in the selection window once you have picked a character.


* "Talk" and "Thought" balloons will help your comic come to life! Feel free to use these in your comic as needed. Also, there are many different "Talk and Thought" balloons available! Browse through each of these and select balloons that fit your scene the best.


* There are a variety of background options that can be used in your comic. Please browse through the images and use any where you find necessary.


BEFORE YOU CAN DESIGN YOUR COMIC STRIP YOU MUST FIRST SHOW ME THE ACTUAL PRODUCT (EACH MESSAGE BOX). I MUST APPROVE YOUR COMIC BEFORE YOU CAN DESIGN THE BACKGROUND OF YOUR COMIC STRIP!


Once finished click next. From here you will need to print the comic. Once you have printed your comic, please turn it in!
