Language Volunteering Opportunity
Share your love for languages
Are you looking for volunteering opportunities for September? Would you like to share your love of languages? Would you like to make a difference to your local community and the lives of young people? If it's a yes, why not volunteer as an online language mentor?
We are now recruiting for an innovative and exciting languages project called Language Futures - Click, Connect, Learn which aims to widen access to language learning for pupils in secondary schools.
Mentors are required to commit to one hour per week. Training and support will be offered and mentors will be supported and guided on the content of the online session by the school offering the volunteering opportunity.
Why mentor?
- Refine your communication and leadership skills.
- Be part of an exciting and innovative pilot project.
- Enjoy the challenge of helping others to learn and making a valuable and useful contribution to your local community.
- Gain satisfaction from seeing pupils develop their skills and confidence as a direct result of your support.
- Achieve a practical way to share your language skills and passion for languages.
- Gain a perspective on language learning and teaching and valuable experience if considering a career in teaching or education.
