Supt Dr. Daugherty shares CCPS 2020-21 Budget Initiatives

Parents, please help support our county school needs presented in this year's Supt's budget. These initiatives will help support teacher salaries, provide additional needed staffing in our schools, and increase funding to support student learning. Check out this quick video that highlights the Supt's budget requests https://www.facebook.com/chesterfieldschools/videos/172635284012966/

The budget focus is simple: We need to meet the needs of our students through appropriate staffing levels; we need to provide additional staffing to support an increasing student enrollment; we need to meet the needs of our teachers and staff by offering competitive compensation; and we need to meet the needs associated with our daily operations by funding actual costs. We hope you will join our efforts to make sure that public education in Chesterfield County meets the needs of our students, our residents, and our community. The time is now to create a better tomorrow! Please join us in this important conversation.

Nominate a SRES teacher for an REB Award of Teaching Excellence!

Parents, do you know an awesone teacher at SRES who provides an amazing learning experience for your child? If you said yes, you have an opportunity to help provide that teacher with their own amazing learning experience of a lifetime by nominating them for an REB award!

Through a nomination process, approximately 15 outstanding teachers are selected each year to receive grants up to $12,000 to support professional development activities. Award recipients have earned graduate degrees, climbed mountains, traced their ancestors and met peers from around the world - all to reignite their own passion for learning and to pass it on to their students.

Winter Volunteer Opportunities

Hello Husky Families! Happy Start to Winter Break!

Thank You to all of the volunteers who came out today to help cover classrooms so that our wonderful teachers could enjoy an extra 30 minute lunch. This could not have been possible without the help of all of you! We truly appreciate the time you’ve donated. If you’re looking for volunteer opportunities at Spring Run here is a list for the month of January.

- The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Spring Run Starting Monday January 27th – Monday February 3rd. Our school library is in need of volunteers to come help students shop for books and/or create wish lists to take home to their parents during their library resource time. Any time you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Book Fair Volunteers

- Our school library is always looking for volunteers to help shelve books and assist students with check out. Please consider donating 45 minutes of your time to our wonderful library staff. They are absolutely AMAZING!

Library Volunteers

- Lunch time at Spring Run can be wild and crazy at times. Please consider helping out in the Cafeteria. It may not seem like much, but an extra pair of hands or two can be a HUGE help.

Cafeteria Volunteers

- Last but certainly not least, the Father/Daughter Dance is just around the corner on February 7th. It’s a little early, but since the dance is the first week of February we wanted to get our request for help out early. Our PTA is in need of volunteers to help check in couples as they arrive, serve snacks/drinks, and clean up at the end of the night. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Father/Daughter Dance Volunteers

Important Reminder: Chesterfield County Public Schools requires all school volunteers to complete the volunteer application / background check. If you have not completed this application please do so via the link below.
