First Amendment & Journalism Today
A Media Panel Featuring the Dean of the Newhouse School
FREE - Thursday, April 9, 2015
The Board of the Syracuse University Alumni Club of Atlanta (SUACOA) is pleased to present the Dean of Syracuse University's prestigious S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Lorraine Branham, who will lead a discussion on freedom of the press and freedom of speech in today’s world.
In light of Dean Branham’s leadership and training of young journalists at Newhouse, her statement about the attack on Charlie Hebdo in Paris, and her significant work as a media professional addressing First Amendment issues, we are thrilled to hear her perspective on this topic.
The event will also feature a spirited panel discussion with other highly respected leaders in the Media industry moderated by Syracuse alumna and Newhouse Board member, Angela Robinson ’78, an Atlanta-based journalist. An audience Q & A discussion will follow the panel.
