2020 Homecoming Candidates Announced
Columbus Day Observance
Wednesday Extended Campus 10/14
This year due to our current circumstances we are going to complete conferences virtually. Parent teacher communication day is Thursday, October 15th. During that day, teachers will be communicating with families via phone, Webex video conference, or email. Teachers also have additional hours next week to complete some communication with families outside of normal school work hours. Please note teachers are encouraged to keep conferences to 10 minutes in order to communicate with as many families as possible.
Your child’s teachers will be reaching out seeking input on preferred days, times, and methods to communicate with you. It is not required to have a conference with every teacher your child has for class, but we would like to have contact with as many families as possible. If you have a student who is struggling in a class and currently has a grade below a C, we would encourage a two-way conversation to support your child's success at school. And while our teachers are prioritizing communication with families of students who are struggling, we also welcome conferences with any student's family.
Look for communication from your child’s teachers seeking input on preferred times and preferred communication methods. The communication methods will be
A phone conference.
A Webex video conference.
An email summarizing grade breakdown and classroom/work habits.
If you choose email communication, teachers will email by the end of Friday, October 16.
If the days and times a teacher provides do not fit with your schedule, please reach out to the teacher via email to share preferred times for you to have a virtual conference with your child’s teacher.
