INTRODUCTION

I have researched information about Ancient Greece and found some really interesting facts. The 3 topics I have chose to do it on are Slavery in Ancient Greece, Various types of government, The Greek City-States and there Colonies. All of these topics got my attention. Here are the facts I got!

SLAVERY IN ANCIENT GREECE

Slavery in Ancient Greece lasted a very long time. 2/5 of the population were slaves. In the next 2 sentences I will tell you how they got slaves when they needed slaves. The first way was conquering a city and selling it's inhabits as slaves. The second way was kidnapping boys and men in Greek and non Greek countries. Slaves could buy there freedom by earning money by there masters.

THE GREEK CITY-STATES AND THERE COLONIES

City-states were cities and the land around that acted as it's own little country. Athens was the most famous city-state with almost 20,000 citizens.Athens was also the largest city-state out of the 7 original city-state. Did you know that Athens took up almost a whole plain. Many city-states were separated by mountain ranges. There are probably no more city-states except the ruins of them.

VARIOUS TYPES OF GOVERNMENT

In my opinion the government was very unfair at all. Athens went through 4 phases of government.Monarchy was ruled by kings/queens, but then the king/queen was overpowered and disappeared. Then Oligarchy appeared and was ruled by few(that was even worst). The wealthy land owners or the wellborn were the leaders and they were rivals.

CONCLUSION

So I hoped you liked my presentation. There is alot more information about ancient Greece. This only what I wanted to show you.
