Paving of Collins is underway
In case you haven't driven down Collins Road in the last week, we are excited to share that paving has begun.
"The reconstruction has been in progress for more than a year, so seeing this leap forward is an important step," said Town Engineer Lyle Jenkins. "For this project, much more work took place underground so it was hard to see the progress that was being made. I am glad that we have reached the point where the residents can see what is happening."
The entire project is expected to be complete by spring 2021.
Other road projects in the works include:
- the reconstruction of SH 352 - in progress;
- the design of Phase II of Collins Road (Tripp to Town East) - design has been bid out and a grant has been sought for construction; and,
- reconstruction of Tripp Road - preliminary assessment and core samples are complete, grants have been sought, and will be bid out in late November.
