Gold Rush Performance Writing

I am an old man living in California. I work at a Dry Goods store, where many people come day in and day out complaining about having no money. They want to know how to make more money, so i told them to go mine for gold. Many immigrants were coming to me trying to find gold. They tried to tell me they were going to go dig for gold but come to find out they never could find anything.
