The Month of May!
I have shared this before, but feel like it is a helpful reminder as we finish out the school year:
Dear Teacher,
I know you’re tired. You’re stressed. You’ve had it up to here. Your to-do list is a mile long. And summer is so close you can taste it. But in the midst of all the chaos and anticipation, I want to encourage you to do one thing: Remember why you’re here. You want to make a difference. You want to help kids. So, pause a moment, look around, and see the child who’s scared about an upcoming test. See the teen who made a big mistake and needs guidance to get back on the right track. Put aside your grading, your lesson plans, and your paperwork and take a moment to do what really matters.
What Will Matter?
In a few short weeks (maybe even days) when you’re lying by the pool soaking up the sun, what will you remember? Will you have simply gotten all your work done and washed your hands of the place? Or will you have taken every opportunity to impact the lives of your students? Because here’s the truth. This time, right now at the end of the year. This time can be the most valuable.
You know these kids. You’ve invested in their lives. You’ve built relationships.
And while they may be driving you up a wall, you are likely more able to speak into their lives now than you ever were before.
I know you’re tired. And no one would blame you for putting you head down and just surviving. But don’t you want to do more than just survive? These kids – the ones you’ve poured your life into for the past 8 months – you may never see some of them again. You may never get another chance to inspire them, believe in them, guide them, or counsel them.
This is your chance. This is your moment. So take a breath, pray for strength, and make it count. Summer will be here. It will be here very soon. And while we all enjoy that countdown on the wall, don’t let counting the days consume you.
Don’t just count the days.
Make the days count.
Each one.
Starting with today.

Teacher iPad Check in - May 12th
In Person Student iPad Check In - May 12th
- I am placing information in today's newsletter informing families that all in person students are to bring the following to school on Monday, May 10th:
- A Fully Charged iPad
- The Charging Cable
- The Charging Cube
- Protective Case
- When the iPad, charging cable, and cube arrives on Monday, May 10th: Please mark off that they have brought the items in. Please label the charging cable and cube. The easiest thing to do is to place a piece of masking tape on each with their initials or place in a sandwich baggie with their name on it. Please collect and plan to place both the cube and cable somewhere out of the way until May 12th.
- Do not have the students take their iPad home past Monday, May 10th.
- If you choose to have the students use their iPad on the 10th and 11th, it is imperative that it is charged and ready to be turned in on May 12th.
- You will receive an iPad Check In form this next week. It is a half sheet and carbon copy. When you receive this, you will:
- Write the Student's first and last name
- Their Student ID
- Their Grade Level
- That's it! The Tech people will inspect and fill in the rest!
- On May 12th - Please look at the schedule that is attached. At your assigned time, please walk your class to the .2 art room where 2 tech people will be waiting to check your student's iPads in.
- Please have each student bring their iPad, charging cable, cube, and the check in form with them.
If a student does not have their iPad on Monday, May 10th: Please send a gentle reminder that all iPads need to be turned in and please send it tomorrow.
If the student does not have the cable or cube...please do not badger them...just have them bring what they have and let the tech department handle any charges. You don't need to be in the middle of that. :)
Fit N Fun Day
PTO Requests for 2021-2022
Wellness Challenge
Hey Timberwolves,
If you want to participate (and we hope you do), you can give the $5.00 to Bethany or I by Monday, May 3. Many of you are working on a wellness goal so why not pay $5.00 for a chance to win some money?! Have you thought about what you would spend the money on? A massage? Pedicure? Dinner? Coffee (me😉)? The more people that participate, the more fun it will be and the more money you can win. So, encourage others to participate!! If you have any questions, Bethany and I are happy to answer them.THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
Have you ever wanted to lead a program, but didn't know how to get it funded? Have you been thinking that a certain program would be amazing, but didn't know where to get started on it?
Please see the attachment and get those creative juices flowing! More info will come on how to apply, but this attachment will give you some ideas!
