An African-American cultural movement of the 1920's-1930's, centered in Harlem, that celebrated black traditions, the black voice, and black ways of life.Jazz has also evolved during this time. Garveyism was created by Marcus Garvey this was a aspect of Black nationalism
Modern Thought and rapid change
Nativism was the policy of protecting the interests of native-born or established inhabitants against those of immigrants.the kkk also came up in this point of time and they hated all african american people.
Modernism development & Traditional practices
Flappers were a new generation of young Western women in the 1920s. Who wore short skirts, bobbed their hair, listened to jazz, and flaunted their disdain for what was then considered acceptable behavior. Last generation was the generation reaching maturity during and just after World War I, a high proportion of whose men were killed during those years.
an unfulfilled generation coming to maturity during a period of instability. the scope trails was also around in this time it was the trial of John Scopes, a high school teacher in Tennessee, for teaching the theory of evolution in violation of state law.
