KPHS THEATRE PRESENTS THE TRIANGLE FACTORY FIRE PROJECT, OCT 27-28
Kingwood Park Black Cat Theatre presents The Triangle Factory Fire Project at 7 p.m. on October 27 & 28, and 2 p.m. on October 28, in the KPHS Performing Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased at kparktheatre.ludus.com.
BOO AT THE BARN, OCT 28
BOO at the Barn! AHS, HHS & SCHS FFA presents Boo at the Barn from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, at the South Ag Barn behind Turner Stadium, 1700 Wilson Road in Humble. Admission is a canned food item. Costumes are encouraged! Come enjoy trick-or-treating, chicken bingo, concessions, $5 unlimited inflatables, mechanical bull, and animals! Boo at the Barn Flyer
AHS PATRIETTES HAUNTED CAR WASH, OCT 28
Who is brave enough to experience the Tunnel of Terror? Prepare for a scare and be haunted by the Atascocita Patriettes in the Tunnel of Terror from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, at Tommy's Car Wash, 12303 Will Clayton Parkway in Atascocita. Whether you need a good wash or just some family fright - come out to support your local dance team.
ZOMBIE FUN RUN 2023, OCT 28
The Atascocita High School Marine Corps JROTC Program is proud to host the 10th Annual AHS Zombie 5K Fun Run on Saturday, October 28. The event starts at 9 a.m. for elementary only, and 10:30 a.m. for all others, on the grounds at Atascocita High School. All runners must register for the event. The first 150 to register receive a t-shirt. Register for the Zombie Fun Run
INSPIRING MOMENTS: GOLD FIGHT WIN
September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Humble ISD is proud to continue its partnership with three local non-profits: Addi's Faith Foundation, L3 Foundation, Mothers Against Cancer to continue raising awareness around the Gold, Fight, Win campaign. Since 2018, the Gold, Fight, Win Campaign has raised more than $280,000. Watch this month's Inspiring Moments video.
KHS PRESENTS XANADU THE MUSICAL, NOV 2-4, 6
Kingwood High School presents Xanadu The Musical at 7 p.m. on November 2-4 & 6, and 2 p.m. on November 4, in the KHS PAC. Adult tickets are $20, student tickets are $15, and can be purchased online.
HOLIDAYS AT THE PARK, NOV 4
Kingwood Park High School Band invites families to Holidays at the Park, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, at KPHS.
Step into a winter wonderland of joy and excitement at the Holidays at the Park festival, a fun-filled celebration for the whole community. This year will include:
- Carnival Activities and Games
- Meet and Take Pictures with Santa (just in time for holiday cards)
- Vendor Village
- Sweet Shoppe and Savory Delights
- Live Entertainment from Surrounding Schools
Wrist bands and individual tickets will be sold, and all proceeds from the festival's activities go directly to support the Band Program. Bring your family and friends to celebrate the spirit of the season at Holidays at the Park!

HARTA EDUCATOR SCHOLARSHIP
The Humble ISD Education Foundation has partnered with the Humble Area Retired Teachers Association to offer educator scholarships to Humble ISD educators. Scholarships up to $500 an applicant are awarded to Humble ISD educators to help support continuing education and professional development. DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD NOMINATIONS OPEN NOW
The Humble ISD Education Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Humble ISD Distinguished Alumni Award. If you know of a Humble ISD alumnus who graduated at least 25 years ago and is deserving to be recognized, nominate them today by visiting the Education Foundation Distinguished Alumni page. Nominations will close on January 15, 2024
INNOVATIVE EDUCATION GRANT APPLICATION NOW OPEN
The Humble ISD Education Foundation funds innovative and creative projects that enrich student learning experiences. IE grants are awarded to teachers, programs, and departments across the district.
Visit the Education Foundation website for information on the application process, resource videos, and grant writing workshops. The district-wide grant writing workshops provide tips on how to develop a winning grant proposal. Register for an upcoming IE Grants Workshop today. Submit your application before 11:59 PM on Monday, February 19, 2024.
