2019 5th Grade Camping Trip!

It's hard to believe that it's time to start thinking about next year already, but we are beginning to plan for our annual 5th grade camping trip. For over 30 years, Crawfordsville Schools has sponsored an engaging outdoor education program as part of the 5th grade science curriculum. All 2019-20 students will be camping Sept. 4, 5, and 6 at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, Indiana. All 5th grade students are expected to attend this fun & exciting trip. The concepts introduced and studied at the camp are referred to throughout the rest of the year. We take a limited number of chaperones on this trip. There is no cost for chaperones to attend. Chaperones must attend a mandatory training meeting and pass a background check. If we have more parents volunteer than we are able to take, we will select parents via lottery system. Parents who chaperone must be able to attend the entire camp. Parents who need to come late or leave early will not be considered. Chaperone interest forms and more information about the annual camping trip will be sent home with fourth graders before summer break.
