Lafayette School
November 12th
Parent Teacher Conferences
Due to the shorter window of time allotted for teacher conferences this year, you will only be meeting with one or two teachers from your child's teaching team. The teacher/s you are meeting with will provide you with an update in each subject area. This update will include your child's progress since September, strengths, and suggestions for improvement. Following parent-teacher conferences, you will receive the first-trimester report card which will include comments from your child's entire teaching team.
Please be on the lookout for the questionnaires from your child's teacher. We are asking for a quick turn around on these questionnaires since December is quickly approaching.
Fill the LAF Lounge
The Staff Appreciation Committee is organizing another Fill the LAF Lounge since the first snack/drink donation was such an amazing success! Please note that items need to be dropped off on Thursday, November 19th between 9 am and 1 pm. There will be a table by the Main Entrance, Door 3. The items will be quarantined for a few days and then Mrs. Russo will present them to the staff the following week. We thank you in advance for your donations. Any questions, please email Jean O'Dowd at jeansodowd@yahoo.com.
Thanks a Latte!
Beginning on Monday, November 9th, Lafayette families can show Chatham’s Fire Department, Police Department, and Chatham Emergency Services how much we appreciate them by donating $5 coffee cards from any local coffee shop.
Next time you grab a cup, can you please give a cup? Drop boxes will be outside the LAF main entrance and in the front office for parents and students to drop their donations.

Congratulations to our October Scavenger Hunt winners Louis and Molly.
Starting today until November 29th, try decorating a sidewalk or driveway with drawings, calligraphy, or anything else that will cheer up any pedestrians passing your street! Participants can submit their creations using this form, and all will be featured in a Chatham Chalk Walk Gallery. To support local businesses, gift card prizes will be awarded to the top drawings - so get creative this Thanksgiving and make Chatham beautiful!
