Welcome Back! Arrival/Dismissal Update

Hey There Lion's Nation!

As you all know, we are preparing to welcome our students back into the building on Monday, October 19th. Several changes have been made to our daily procedures and tutorial videos will be coming out shortly to better explain these changes. One of the biggest changes will be our arrival and dismissal procedures. Students in grades 1, 2, and 3 will now be dropped off and picked up in the back of the building. There will be a designated entrance for each grade level and there will be staff placed in strategic positions to help guide our students to their respective classrooms. Additionally, Pre-K and Kindergarten students will be dropped off and picked up in the front of the building. A detailed map will be shared next week highlighting these changes.

Please know that due to Covid restrictions, we cannot allow parents to enter the building. We are also asking that parents do not get out of their cars, with the exception of Pre-K parents. Our staff will be available to greet and dismiss our students and escort them safely to their classrooms during arrival and to your cars at dismissal. We know that this is not how we normally handle arrival and dismissal, but this is our new reality and we need your cooperation to execute these plans in a safe and efficient manner.

Additional information will follow in the coming weeks.

Educationally Yours,

Craig Speechley
