Celtic For A DAY

Dear Celtic Families,

Our annual 8th Grade CELTIC FOR A DAY event is coming up and we want to extend an invitation to any and all 8th graders you may know, be they siblings, extended family, neighbors, or friends.

The event is on Thursday, November 2nd, from 8am to 1pm. The 8th graders wishing to attend may ride the school bus if they call the office and make arrangements (all St. Mary's 8th graders will be riding the bus from St. Mary's), or they may be dropped off by parents by 8am (for gathering in the Chapel at 8:15am).

If you know an 8th grade student who'd like to attend, please have them call the office to reserve their spot and tell us their t-shirt size.

Multicultural Heritage, historical or present day, fiction or non.

Or more traditionally, October: horror, creepy, spooky! If you missed participating in the first promo, don't miss this one!

*Library is open to students Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings between 8 and the first bell. Students can also come by those mornings and pick up a lunch pass, and come visit the library after they finish eating.

Pro-Life Week

Last week our students brought the donated diapers, wipes, and formula to Our Lady of the Angels Maternity Shelter that were collected during pro-life week. Thank you to everyone who donated so generously to support these mothers' decision to choose life for their children!

FACT Team

Congratulations to the Celtic FACT team! They placed 2nd out of 29 teams competing at the Melissa HS Tournament on Saturday. Great job Celtics!

Spooky Sweet Tuesday

Hello Celtics,

Tuesday, October 31st is "Spooky Sweet Tuesday" and we will have treats that correlate with Halloween. This is the biggest Sweet Monday out of all!

Parents, if you would like to contribute treats for this special day, please send two dozen treats that relate with our Halloween theme (fruits and veggies would be great also) and please send me an email at kiyeonglandon@gmail.com so that we have an idea of what is being brought (and how much).

Please put your name (please print) on your treats so that we can give proper thanks and keep track of the parent volunteer hours.

We always welcome parents to come help! This time we will start setting up at around 10:00 am in the cafetorium. If you are interested in helping, please sign in at the office before coming to the cafetorium! You will also get to see the students dressed up in their creative Halloween costumes this time!

Thank you so much in advance for contributing to this great event! The students love it! We could not have these events without your help!

May God bless you all and have a great week!!!

Service Opportunities

The Wildflower Place:

This is a retirement home that is always in need of people to come and spend time with the residents. This might involve playing board games, socializing, singing, playing an instrument, etc. It is located in Temple and can be reached at (254) 239-0458.

Our Lady of the Angels Maternity Shelter:

is looking for ladies to volunteer during office hours (8am - 6pm) on a weekly basis. If you are EIM certified, able to complete a background check and have a current Driver's license, please consider serving with us! We are looking for ladies to help with daily tasks around the shelter and possibly serve as house parents. A house parent is a person who's priority is to advocate for the moms and children we house. It entails being a supportive person for the mom, transporting them to Dr appointments, help with life skills education such as parenting classes, and other things that help to improve their pregnancy or parenting situation so they can better care for themselves and their children. Email your resume to administrator@olams.org or call 254-742-2340 for more information.

Annual Fund Appeal

As we begin each school year filled with hope and determination to make it the best it can be. It is with the same degree of hope and determination that we open our Father Charles Davis Annual Fund Appeal, a vital part of our school’s continued success.

For more than 20 years, Holy Trinity Catholic High School has educated hundreds of young people, preparing them to be people of Faith and productive citizens. To remain a competitive, faith-based, college preparatory school we rely on our community of parents, grandparents, Board members, faculty, staff, alumni, former parents, and friends for their support.

To celebrate our 20 years, we are committed to achieving 100% participation from our school community. Gifts to the Fr. Charles Davis Annual Appeal support our Tuition Assistance program. No gift is too small, because every gift helps a student! We have set our tuition so that we can remain affordable to our families, but tuition revenue covers only a portion of what it costs to educate students at Holy Trinity. The annual appeal helps keep our school affordable to families while allowing us to make sure no one is denied a Catholic education due to financial need.

At Holy Trinity we are challenged to continue our mission to educate the Christian Leaders of Tomorrow. We firmly believe that we can and will meet this challenge, but we need your help to be successful! Please join us in keeping Holy Trinity Catholic High School strong by making your gift to the Father Charles Davis Annual Fund Appeal.

YOU are the DIFFERENCE!

Yours in Christ,

Blake Evans,
Principal
