WRCCS Learning Opportunities

Hello, Wisconsin Charter School Sub-grant Applicants!
As you anxiously await notification of the sub-grant awards from the DPI charter team, I wanted to make you aware of some great opportunities for your team, as well as a requirement for those of you who will be funded.
The Wisconsin Resource Center for Charter Schools (WRCCS) provides online resources through our system of publicly shared GOOGLE FOLDERS and online BUZZ COURSES. Additionally, we have lined up an action-packed spring and summer full of trainings that are available at no cost for everyone -- whether you work at a charter school, are a community member thinking about joining a governance board, are a teacher at a traditional school, or any other interested party. We would love to collaborate with you!
Courses are available to attend via Zoom video meeting and courses are available to attend in-person all throughout the state. See the CALENDAR OF EVENTS HERE. And then register for all of our events using THIS FORM.
It's worth planning ahead: Each sub-grantee charter school is required to have members of their team fulfill a set number of WRCCS professional development competencies before August 30, 2019. All grantees create action plans using our project management tool, Headrush, and document their learning in the form of evidence. Your learning does not need to occur exclusively through WRCCS opportunities, but we will be your partner in documenting your work, especially should you be awarded a grant. So go ahead and participate now and all throughout the school year to start checking off your future requirements.
Coming up in just a few weeks, we have an awesome day of charter school collaboration planned. On Wednesday, April 10th, WRCCS is doing a free-to-attend pre-conference day before the ISN conference. Join colleagues and experts to learn about educational models and cross-cutting charter school topics. SIGN UP HERE.
Please reach out to our team if you have any questions or would like to start accessing some resources!
Thanks! -Sarah
