Crestwood Quest Students Sweep Competition
Congratulations to Crestwood's fourth and fifth grade Quest students on sweeping the Innovation Challenge competition, which is organized by the Arkansas Innovation Hub! This is a problem-solving competition where students think about problems they encounter regularly, brainstorm potential solutions, develop a solution, and then share it.
A total of 31 teams from across the state participated.
First place AND the Social Justice Award goes to “SolarBottle," an innovation by Madison Peterson, Jackson Ledgerwood, Jordyn Cunningham, and Colton Gage.
SolarBottle is a solar heated water bottle that also has a pouch for silverware and straw, providing people with a resource for clean or hot water.
These students will each receive $100.
Each of these students will receive $75.
Third place goes to C.E.A. invented by Alaska White, Eva Ruth, and Eva Jean Lawson. Inspired by their hardworking moms, the C.E.A. is a robot that cleans your dishwasher walls while your dishwasher is cleaning your dishes.
These students will each receive $50.
