Principal's Message
Hello Falcons!
We've got some big things happening next week. Our Book Fair kicks off on Tuesday. Teachers have been taking classes to preview items and create wish lists. Students can show starting on Tuesday during recesses, lunch, and during their library time. If you would like to assist your child, you can bring them during the 15 minutes before and after school, as well as during Open House on Thursday. Visit our Book Fair Homepage to shop online, sign up for e-wallet (a new and awesome cash free option), preview books and more.
Speaking of Open House, we'd like to invite all the families and loved ones of our students to see what they have been learning this year. Classrooms will be open from 5:00-6:30. This is a fun time to visit not only your own classrooms, but also those of other grade levels. We will also have many booths open. A fan favorite will likely be the Harvest of the Month with CalFresh. Get a little taste of what your kids get each month in the cafeteria. There will also be people standing by to help you enroll your Future Falcons for the 2023-2024 school year.
Next week, our 4th graders will also be traveling over to Sierra Ridge for their 4th grade orientation. They'll get a great preview into life at the middle school and get to meet Mr. O. They're going to have so much fun.
I look forward to seeing you all next week. Have a great weekend!
Heather Minton
Information and Updates:
- TK/Kindergarten Enrollment 2023/2024 - TK/Kindergarten Enrollment for next year is open. Enrollment packets are available in the Pinewood Office, District Office, and on our website. Returning these packets as soon as possible helps us to make sure we have accurate staffing to support your child. Students currently enrolled at Pinewood TK-4th Grade do not need to re-enroll.
- PTC - Our next PTC meeting is on May 23rd at 2:45 in Room 2. This month we will be holding elections for the PTC board for the 2023/2024 school year. We will also be putting together raffle baskets for the end of the year raffle. This would be an excellent time to come check out what PTC is all about.
- Pokemon Cards and Other Toys - Remember that students need to keep their toys, including Pokemon cards, at home. Students should not be bringing them to school.
