Internet Safety & Copyright Piracy
Title I Event
We live in a DIGITAL WORLD!
Since we now live in a digital world, internet safety is now more important than ever. Students are always using online resources to research school reports, communicate with their friends, and play online games. Even though the internet can be wonderful and helpful, it comes with risks, like inappropriate content, cyberbullying, and online predators.
Along with these risks, there is also the possibility that your child may not know all the rules about copyright. It is very tempting for a child to copy information from an internet source and paste it into a document as their own work. Students must understand that there are legal and moral reasons to not violate copyright laws. It is important that you, as parents, help enforce copyright rules, so our students will be the best digital citizens they can be!
