COMPARATIVE POETRY ANALYSIS
LOGAN SUTTON HOUR 3
INTRODUCTION
We read 2 poems in reading class they had differences and similarities this is a flyer on how the poemes compare and contrast.
TONE AND WORD CHOICE
Both of the authors had a different view about nature like in Enchanted Light the author said the lights were beautiful and amazing. The other author thought the forest could be deadly and calming at the same time.
FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE
In the poems the authors use different similes and metaphors to give examples of what they mean. In Enchanted Light the author uses the metaphor of "The world is a glass overflowing with water". In the other poem the author uses the similie of "I rose and fell as if in water". The authores use these to give a better demonstration of what they are trying to make you see.
FORM AND STRUCTURE
The structures in the poem are very much the same. The both are free verse and have no rhyme so they have the same structure.
CONCLUSION
The 2 poems we looked at are the same and are also different. They had different meanings and different metaphores and similes. They had the same form and the same way they looked so overall the poems were close to the same.
