St. Joseph eUpdate
Believe, Live, Enliven
Moving Along with Mrs. Maddox
During the month of September we are learning about the virtue of faith. When we are really practicing the virtue of faith, we fully believe (trust) all God has revealed to us through His Son's life, in scripture, and through the sacraments. We believe Jesus is the Truth, and that He has designed a plan specific and unique to each one of us. This quarter, and perhaps our entire school year, we will each no doubt be given an opportunity to grow in faith. Trusting God's plan for our school, our students, and our community is going to be a challenge, however, together we can view this time of uncertainty and unpredictability as a bridge between the Heart of Christ and our own virtue.
Please continue to be patient with our nurse, our teachers, our IT Department, our CYO coaches and director, our cafeteria staff, and of course our favorite Director of Awesomeness, Mrs. Pigott. These dedicated individuals have agreed to sign up and think outside the box all day long. They are willing to do whatever it takes to keep our kids connected and in school. They have given so much of their time, their energy, and their love to open our school and to create a safe environment where we can all Live, Believe, and Enliven the hearts of our children. Thank you to our parents who share this same commitment!!! Here's to growing in the virtue of faith together, alongside of our children, what a beautiful opportunity to witness our faith (not only to our children), but to each other as well.
Enjoy the game tonight. Say an extra prayer for no injuries and continued champion success! We need a little KC love. Go Chiefs!!!

Virtue of the Month- Faith
If we look with the eyes of faith, things look different than they do in the natural realm. For example, if we see a child who is sick, we might only notice the suffering and the very sad. But with the eyes of faith, we see in the sick child an image of the suffering Christ.

Nurse's Corner
Dear Parents,
We are well into our second week of school and are establishing our routines. Please continue to perform daily health assessments of your child(ren) each morning before arriving to school. I have been impressed with our parents’ diligence in keeping their children home when they are not feeling well.
As the weather cools, I anticipate we will be seeing more respiratory illnesses. We are following the attached guidelines as far as determining when children need to be sent home from school. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
If your child is sick and needs to stay home, they are encouraged to check Google Classroom and work on posted assignments. Unfortunately, only families who have chosen to be Remote Learners or are needing to isolate/quarantine for specific Covid-19 reasons, are allowed to connect virtually to the classroom.
Thank you for you support. Stay safe!

Glitz and Glam Auction 2020 Sponsorship
I would like to personally invite you to make a difference in the lives of the children in our parish. We remain committed to our core values of faith, academic excellence, service, community and tradition.
Offering educational choice and high quality programs at an affordable cost is a challenge. One way that we supplement tuition fees is through our annual auction. Every dollar earned from the auction directly helps the children in our care learn and grow through funding innovative academic programs, maintaining updated technology and supplementing our Fine Arts as well as other programs and resources to support the individual needs of our students.
This year's event, Glitz & Glam, will be held on Saturday, November 7th, 2020. Though this years event will look a little different, it will still have the same traditions that brings the St. Joe community together to make a difference and invest in the future of our community. We are requesting your support in the continued advancement of St. Joseph Catholic School. We are asking that you consider becoming a Sponsor of this years event.
Thank you for your consideration and generosity! Your investment in the future helps St. Joseph Catholic school continue to serve our families of the St. Joseph parish.
With a Grateful Heart,
Jodie Maddox

St. Joseph Pandemic Prayer
St. Joseph Pandemic Prayer for Healing and Guidance 2020-2021
Good and Gracious Lord, You have led us through difficult times before and continuously guide us with your wisdom and dignity. Be our navigator as we encompass new and frightening paths. There is much strife and anxiety when it comes to the unknown. Please continue to be our safeguard and our comfort. Help all of us discover, acknowledge, and honor your blessings during these times of uncertainty. Walk with us this school year. In Your name we pray, Amen.
