SIXTH FORM

FROM THE HEADS OF SIXTH FORM

It was good to see six of our School Leaders lead the whole school assembly at Senior Boys on Thursday. They talked about life in the Sixth Form, both academic and enrichment activities, to help the boys understand what they might aspire to in years to come. It is promising to see that we have a record number of applications to join our Sixth Form this September.

We held a note-taking workshop on Thursday lunchtime to help students find the best of several techniques to help them produce succinct and helpful notes for their revision.

EXAMINATIONS

The timetable for mock A Level exams is posted on the Sixth Form notice board and all students should have noted when their exams will be. There will be no study leave during the exams week of 22 - 26 February and all lessons will run as normal (unless all of the students are in the exam room).

A provisional timetable for the final external exams in May/June has also been posted to help students and staff with planning. Once all entries have been made this will be checked, and revised if necessary, before making it available to parents. However it may help parents to know that the first AS exams will be on Monday 16 May, and the last A2 exam is on Wednesday 29 June 2016.
