SHJH Wave program making a difference!
From SHJH Counselor Taylor Clark:
"I want to brag on my Junior High Wave kids. We have been working on holiday cards to deliver to area nursing homes. When we showed up at Pine Tree Lodge Nursing Home this past week, we thought we were just going to pass out cards. The nursing home director thought we were singing. My kids did not hesitate in saying, "We can sing!" They quickly found some lyrics on their phones and sang several songs. Some of my students even volunteered to sing solos! They were amazing, and I was SO proud of them.
After singing, they delivered cards, and their actions literally brought me to tears. When I looked in the rooms, several of them were holding hands with the residents and reading the cards to them. I feel so blessed to be able to work with these kids."
